Renata Brenha reframes the place of women and Latin America in contemporary fashion. Her approach is based on a proposal of sustainability and the reuse of resources through artisanal practices. The Acarajé skirt is made from upcycled curtains. The ruffles at the bottom are made using the traditional ‘frufru’, a technique popular in Brazil for making rugs from discarded fabrics. The Babado top and the Caxixi bag are hand-smoked using an innovative technique developed in Brenha’s studio.
